My favorite festivity

Hi! today I will talk about my favorite festivity and all about this date. Since childhood one of the my favorite day is the new year. We know that this day is celebrate the 1 of january of all years at the 00:00 hrs, around the world.  This celebration was born in the ancient roma, where they were celebrate the new year the first of march. This date was changed  for the emperator Julio Cesar in the 470 b.c, he decided to create a new calendary (Juliano calendary) where the first day of the year would be the first of january. Besides  Julio cesar he decided that in same day they will venerated the Jano god, which represent “the start and the beginnings”. But like the roman culture there is other beginnigs of the year in different cultures, around the world, for example, the chinese new year, mapuche new year, etc. In this date my favorite activity is to meet with my family and to share the dinner at the midnight and these reasons is why i like this festivity...

My favorite photography: The image as speech

Welcome back to this blog in english. This time I will tell you about one of my favorite photographs and my experience with photography. The image they are seeing here was taken in the city of Prague (located in Czechoslovakia at the time) in the year 1968 by the Czech / French photographer Josef Koudelka during the invasion of the forces of the Warsaw Pact to the previously named city. In which we can see a young man opening his jacket and challenging the military to shoot him in the chest, pointing out that he is an innocent civilian who is demonstrating peacefully before this invasion. In this photograph we can see a clear example of the saying "you hit me, but I respond to you with flowers", making him feel to the repressive force that his violence is unnecessary.
